Schönleiten is a village in the market town of Regenstauf in the Regensburg district in Bavaria . Until 1971, Schönleiten was the seat of the municipality of the same name .

history

The municipality of Schönleiten originated from the Bavarian municipal edict of 1818 and included the places Schönleiten, Ganglhof, Irlbründl, Kürnberg, Mettenbach, Neuried, Oberhub, Preischlgut, Richterskeller, Schnepfenberg, Unterhub and Wasa. On January 1, 1971, the community of Schönleiten joined the community of Bubach am Forst . On January 1, 1978, the former parts of the community from Schönleiten to Regenstauf were incorporated into the Bubach am Forst community . The remaining parts of the community Bubach am Forst came to Holzheim am Forst .
