The Buchanan Hills are a group of rugged peaks in West Antarctica's Ellsworthland . They rise north of the Union Glacier in the Heritage Range of the Ellsworth Mountains . The Driscoll Glacier flows to the west, the Nimbus Hills and the Samuel Nunatakker to the east .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Roger Buchanan, a biologist from the United States Antarctic Research Program , who worked in Antarctica in the Antarctic summer of 1964/65.
