The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival ( 부천 국제 판타스틱 영화제 ), BIFAN for short , is an international film festival. It is held annually in July in Bucheon ( South Korea ). The first festival took place in 1997. The focus is on international fantasy, horror and mystery films.

Up to and including 2014, the international spelling was Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival ( PiFan ). In 2015, the spelling of the city in the name was finally adapted according to the rules of the revised Romanization .

The main prizes of the festival are the Best of Bucheon prizes, each endowed with 20 million won (almost 15,000 euros) and, since 2016, the Best Korean Fantastic Film . There is also a prize for directors and actors as well as a prize from an international jury and an audience prize. There are also prizes for short films. In addition, the independent juries of the Méliès International Festivals Federation (MIFF, formerly European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation ) and the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) award further prizes during the festival.
