The hamlet of Buchholz lies at a height of 190 meters above sea level on the slopes of the Westerwald . Federal highway 8 runs through Buchholz .
history
According to statistics from 1885, 30 people lived in eight houses in Buchholz.
In 1910 the households in Buchholz were Küfer Wilhelm Becker, Ackerer Franz Peter Buchholz, Landlord Matthias Hartmann, Factory Worker Johann Hönscheid, Former Peter Hönscheid, Ackerer Wilhelm Jüngling as well as Pensioner Agnes, Acker Anna Katharina, Acker Anton, Acker Heinrich, Ackerer and Landlord Heinrich Josef , Farmer widow Josef and farmer Peter Schiefer.
Until August 1, 1969, the hamlet of Buchholz belonged to the municipality of Uckerath . As part of the municipal reorganization of the Bonn area , Uckerath, and with it the town of Buchholz, was assigned to the then new, unofficial community “Hennef (Sieg)”.
