The Budd Peak is a 2315 m high mountain on the island of Heard in the southern Indian Ocean . It rises 2.7 km southeast of Mawson Peak .
The mountain was measured and descriptively named by scientists as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in 1948 . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named him after Grahame Budd, who headed the ANARE campaign to Heard Island in 1963.
