The Buir-Bliesheimer Agrargenossenschaft (BB) is an agricultural cooperative based in Nörvenich , Düren district , North Rhine-Westphalia . Their catchment area is in the middle of the Cologne Bay .

The Buirer , as it is called for short, is by its own account one of the primary cooperatives with the highest turnover in Germany.

In 2019, Raiffeisen Waren Zentrale , one of the main cooperatives active in the agricultural and goods trade, announced that it wanted to take a 20 percent stake in the Buir-Bliesheim agricultural cooperative

The cooperative, founded in 1901, has around 20 branches in the triangle between Cologne , Rommerskirchen and Swisttal .

Crop production

Plant protection products, fertilizers and seeds are sold here. The seeds are partly propagated by themselves.

marketing

Buir-Bliesheimer takes on the marketing of potatoes, grain, oilseeds and vegetables for its members.

energy

Heating oil, fuels, lubricants, solid fuels as well as electricity and gas are sold.

logistics

The logistics of the other business areas are ensured by means of our own vehicle fleet.

Insurance

Insurance is brokered through the subsidiary Buir-Bliesheimer Versicherungsservice GmbH .

Feed

The cooperative sells compound feed for animal breeding.
