The Raiffeisen Waren-Zentrale Rhein-Main eG (RWZ) is currently in Germany in agricultural trade main cooperatives active. In addition, the RWZ is active in the agricultural machinery, car, building materials and fuel trade.

history

The foundation stone of today's RWZ was laid in 1953. In 1983 the Rheinische Warenzentrale Köln merged with the Raiffeisen main cooperative Koblenz . In 1999, the RWZ Rheinland and the RHG Frankfurt am Main eG merged . The RWZ is now the third largest main cooperative in the German agricultural trade after Baywa and Agravis .

Restructuring

In November 2015 the Supervisory Board decided on a restructuring plan. The return on sales in 2014 was 0.4%. The equity ratio is just under 22%. On March 16, 2016, the long-standing CEO Hans-Josef Hilgers was dismissed from the company with immediate effect.
