Bulgarrenault (also: Bugar-Renault ) was a Bulgarian automobile manufacturer in Plovdiv .
history
In 1966, Renault signed a contract with the Bulgarian foreign trade organization Bulet , which provided for the license production of automobiles . The Bulgarian arms manufacturer Metalhim was also involved in the project. The first copies were made in the same year. The vehicles were primarily intended for the Bulgarian market; several hundred cars were also exported to Yugoslavia , Austria and the Middle East . Production ended in 1971.

The first model was a license build of the Renault 8 . A four-cylinder engine with 956 cm³ displacement with 29 kW power was mounted in the rear and drove the rear axle. The four-door sedan with a 2270 mm wheelbase was 3995 mm long, 1490 mm wide and 1361 mm high. The top speed was specified with 132 km / h, and the gasoline consumption with 6.8 liters per 100 km.
