Balcancar is a Bulgarian manufacturer of motor vehicles . The brand names are Balcancar , Balkancar and, in the past, Pirin-Fiat and Balkan .
Company history
The Lovetsch company began producing electric carts, floor conveyors and forklifts in 1956 . Between 1966 and 1990, more than 250,000 automobiles and until 1978 motorcycles were made .

Between 1966 and 1968, around 450 copies of the Fiat 124 models as sedan and station wagon and 850 as sedan and coupé were made from original parts .
Brand name Balkan
The brand name was used for a motorcycle Balkan 250 with a single-cylinder two-stroke engine as early as 1960 . The company manufactured the Moskvich under license from 1967 . The Rila model corresponded to the Moskvich-408 , Moskvich-412 , Moskvich-2138 and the Moskvich-2140 types . Some vehicles were fitted with diesel engines made in Bulgaria under the Perkins license. In 1988 the Balkan model followed with front-wheel drive , which corresponded to the Moskvich-2141 .
