The Bullenbruch is an island in the Spree , which is located in the Berlin district Oberschöneweide in the Treptow-Köpenick district. It is located south of the Rummelsburger Bucht at river kilometer 25.3.

The island has been listed as a protected landscape component by the Berlin Senate Administration since 2000 . This status prohibits, for example, the removal or introduction of plants or parts of plants, the disturbance of wild animals or the contamination of the island.

The island is owned by the State of Berlin. A daily newspaper assigned them to a group of a total of 27 islands in the city area, which, distributed over the Spree, Havel and Dahme, “do not fulfill any special function” and are hardly known. Nevertheless, an examination of the totality of all living things that can still be seen with the human eye - a macrozoobenthos - of selected rivers in Berlin in 2010 showed that the bull break has the greatest faunistic potential.

To the east of the island, on the bank, is the Funkhaus Nalepastraße , a listed building complex in which the GDR radio station was based from 1956 to 1990 . To the north-east of the island, the Rummelsburg power plant was operated from 1907 to 1966, the parts of which have been preserved and are now listed.
