Bullialdus is an impact crater in the southwest of the front of the moon , in the northwest of the Mare Nubium plain , southeast of the Lubiniezky crater and north of Kies . The crater ring is surrounded by an extensive ejecta ceiling , towards the inside it has multi-level terracing and in the center there is a central mountain .

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the French astronomer Ismael Boulliau .
