Bumpety Boo ( Jap. へーいブンブー! Hei Bumbu! ) Is an anime - TV series , which from 1985 to 1986 by Nippon Animation in Japan was produced. The series consists of 130 episodes of 10 minutes each.

The show shows the adventures of a boy named Ken who finds a yellow talking car called Bumpety Boo that he has been adventuring with ever since. They both travel the world to find Bumpety's mother. In the later episodes, Dr. Monkey constantly to kidnap the yellow car Bumpety. Eventually, Ken and Bumpety find Bumpety's mother.

Publications

The anime was produced by Nippon Animation in 1985, directed by Eiji Okabe and Kenjirô Yoshida. The character design was created by Isamu Kumata and Susumu Shiraume, and Setsuko Ishizu was the artistic director. The series first aired from April 8, 1985 to April 3, 1986 by NHK in Japan.

In the early 1990s, many of the show's VHS tapes were released in English by Saban Entertainment . In the mid-90s, the program was also broadcast on Super RTL in Germany in 43 30-minute segments. After a few repetitions on Super RTL and Fox Kids , the broadcast was completely stopped in 2005 and the series has not been broadcast since.

The music in the series was composed by Nobuyoshi Koshibe. The Japanese opening song is Boku wa Bumbū ( ぼ く は ブ ン ブ ー ), the Japanese closing title Ashita no Wonderland ( あ し た の ワ ン ダ ー ラ ン ド Ashita no Wandārando ), both by Hashimoto Shiori.
