Federal Association of Secretariat and Office Management
The Federal Association of Secretariat and Office Management e. V. (bSb) is a German professional association for office administration based in Bremen . According to its own information, it had around 1,000 members in 2017. The bSb publishes the trade journal tempra365 every three months with a circulation of 6000 copies.
history
The Association of German Secretaries (BDS; founded 1966) from Munich and the German Association of Secretaries (DSV; founded 1956) from Mannheim merged on January 1, 1997 to form the Federal Association of Secretariat and Office Management with its headquarters in Bremen . There is a voluntary, elected board of directors and appointed members from the education sector and companies, a federal office and 15 regional groups nationwide.
aims
The aim is, as a neutral and independent professional association, to protect the economic, social and legal position of employees in the secretariat or office management, to support their work and further training as well as the exchange of experiences and to represent their interests. The purpose of the statutes is realized by:
- Advising members on professional matters
- Representation of the common interests of the members towards organizations, administrations, industry and business in the national and international area
- Development of syllabuses and examination regulations for training and advanced training courses in the area of secretariat and office management, which are carried out at educational institutions recognized by the bSb and the issuing of certificates and diplomas by the bSb
- Implementation of congresses and events for the qualification of persons working in the secretariat and in office management
