Federal administration
The term federal administration is understood to mean the public administration of a federal state or confederation of states , which is located at the highest or national level - the federal level .
It must be distinguished from the middle administrative level of the individual member states or member states such as the German federal states or the US federal states and the lower local administrative level, the municipalities .
