The bundeswehr-journal is an independent German military magazine, which is published by Lieutenant Colonel of the Reserve (dR) Christian Dewitz, from the agency mediakompakt in Bad Godesberg , which he founded in 2000 .

The magazine has been published regularly since the beginning of 2005 and deals with news from the topics of security policy in general and the Bundeswehr in particular. In this context, reports are primarily on the topics of foreign missions , defense technology , armaments , civil-military cooperation and internal leadership . Each issue deals with a key topic. There is also a feature section that deals with the topic of the armed forces and sport.

The target group is defined as the military and civilian leadership levels as well as ordinary soldiers, who normally receive the magazine through displays. In addition, almost all Bundeswehr libraries and specialist information points receive the magazine.

Each issue has between 64 and 88 pages of content. The circulation is 3,500 copies, a net reach of 12,000 readers is assumed.
