The Communauté de communes de la Vallière is a former French association of communes with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the Ain department , whose administrative seat was in the town of Ceyzériat . The community association consisted of nine communities and counted 9,992 inhabitants (as of 2013) on an area of 111.2 km 2 . Most recently, Jean-Luc Luez was president of the community association.
tasks
The competencies required included the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism as well as spatial planning based on a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . The community association operated the road maintenance and sewage disposal and assumed responsibility for household waste disposal as a member of Organom , a superordinate special-purpose association active in the Arrondissement of Bourg-en-Bresse . In addition, the association built and maintained sports facilities and determined housing policy.
Historical development
The Communauté de communes de la Vallière was created at the end of 1994 as an association of the four municipalities of Ceyzériat, Montagnat , Revonnas and Saint-Just . With the turn of the year 1999/2000 it was extended to the last nine municipalities.
The community association merged with the community associations with effect from January 1, 2017
