The Communauté de communes du Canton de Coligny is a former French community association with legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Ain and the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The association of municipalities founded on December 21, 1994 consisted of nine municipalities in the former canton of Coligny and had 6,835 inhabitants (as of 2013) on an area of 144.3 km 2 . Alain Gestas was the last president of the community association.
tasks
The competencies required included developing and promoting economic activities and spatial planning based on a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . In addition, the community association operated the road maintenance service and waste management.

The community association merged with the community associations with effect from January 1, 2017
