Ceyzériat is a French commune with 3,157 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Ain department in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Bourg-en-Bresse . The inhabitants are called Ceyzériatis or Cavets .

geography

Ceyzériat is located in the Revermont region and at the foot of the Jura Mountains , about eight kilometers east of Bourg-en-Bresse . The Reyssouze River flows here . Neighboring municipalities of Ceyzériat are Jasseron in the north, Ramasse in the east, Revonnas in the south, Montagnat in the south-west and Saint-Just in the north-west.

At the western edge of the municipality, the A40 autoroute leads along and through the municipality the former route nationale 79 .
