Manziat is a French commune with 1,963 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes in the department of Ain . Administratively, the municipality is assigned to the Arrondissement of Bourg-en-Bresse and the canton of Replonges . The inhabitants are called Manziatis .
geography
Manziat is located about eight kilometers north-northeast of Mâcon in the Bresse region on the Loëze . Manziat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ozan in the north, Chevroux in the northeast, Bâgé-Dommartin in the east and southeast, Feillens in the south, Vésines in the west and Asnières-sur-Saône in the north-west.
