Asnières-sur-Saône is located about 15 kilometers north-northeast of Mâcon in the Bresse region on the Saône , which borders the municipality in the west. Asnières-sur-Saône is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Boz in the north and north-east, Ozan in the north-east, Manziat in the east and south-east, Vésines in the south and south-west, Saint-Martin-Belle-Roche in the west and south-west and Senozan in the west and north-west.
