Cruzilles-lès-Mépillat is located in the Bresse countryside about nine kilometers south-southeast of Mâcon and about 26 kilometers west of Bourg-en-Bresse . Cruzilles-lès-Mépillat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Laiz in the north, Saint-André-d'Huiriat in the east, Illiat in the south, Garnerans in the south-west, Bey in the west and south-west, Cormoranche-sur-Saône in the west and Grièges in the north-west.
