Courmangoux is a French municipality with 507 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ain in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the canton of Saint-Étienne-du-Bois (until 2015: canton of Treffort-Cuisiat ) in the Bourg-en-Bresse arrondissement . The inhabitants are called Curtimengiens .

Courmangoux is located about 14 kilometers north-northeast of Bourg-en-Bresse in the Revermont . The neighboring municipalities are Verjon and Salavre in the north, Bourcia in the east and north-east, Val-Revermont in the south, Saint-Étienne-du-Bois in the south-west and Villemotier in the west and north-west.
