geography

Neuville-les-Dames lies on the edge of the Dombes and Bresse landscapes , about 18 km west-southwest of the prefecture of Bourg-en-Bresse and about 20 km southeast of the city of Mâcon . The village is located on the Renon River . Neuville-les-Dames is surrounded by the neighboring communities Vonnas in the north, Chanoz-Châtenay in the northeast, Condeissiat in the east, Romans in the south, Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne in the southwest and Sulignat in the west and northwest.
