Péronnas is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bourg-en-Bresse in the north, Ceyzeriat in the northeast, Montagnat in the east, Certines in the southeast, Lent in the south, Saint-André-sur-Vieux-Jonc in the southwest, Saint-Rémy in the west and Saint- Denis-lès-Bourg in the north-west.
