geography
La Tranclière is located about ten kilometers south-southeast of the prefecture of Bourg-en-Bresse in the southern part of the historical province of Bresse . Neighboring communities of La Tranclière are Certines in the north, Saint-Martin-du-Mont in the east, Druillat in the south and south-east, Dompierre-sur-Veyle in the west and south-west and Lent in the west and north-west.
The A40 car route runs along the eastern edge of the municipality .
