Saint-Sulpice is a French municipality with 257 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ain in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the canton of Attignat (until 2015: canton of Montrevel-en-Bresse ) in the arrondissement of Bourg-en-Bresse and is a member of the Bassin de Bourg-en-Bresse municipal association . The inhabitants are called Saint-Sulpiciens .

geography

Saint-Sulpice is located about 18 kilometers northwest of Bourg-en-Bresse and about 15 kilometers east-northeast of the city of Mâcon . Saint-Sulpice is surrounded by the neighboring communities Marsonnas in the north and east, Saint-Didier-d'Aussiat in the south and east and Bâgé-Dommartin in the west.
