The neighboring municipalities are Le Plantay in the northwest, Chalamont in the northeast, Crans in the east, Rignieux-le-Franc in the southeast, Joyeux in the south, Birieux in the southwest and Villars-les-Dombes in the west.

The former Route nationale 504 leads via Versailleux. It carried the status of a Route nationale in 1933-73 and was then downgraded to a Départementstraße .
