geography
The municipality is located around 55 kilometers northeast of Lyon and 65 kilometers west of Geneva . Neighboring municipalities are Revonnas in the northeast, Journans in the east, Saint-Martin-du-Mont in the southeast and south, Certines in the west and Montagnat in the northwest. The place is crossed by the upper reaches of the Reyssouze River, in the west of the municipality the A40 motorway runs in a north-south direction.
