The Reyssouze is a river in France that runs in the Ain department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the mountains south of Journans , drains generally in a north-westerly direction, crosses the town of Bourg-en-Bresse on its way and flows into the Saône as a left tributary after 75 kilometers opposite Fleurville . The estuary lies on the municipal boundary of the municipality of the same name Reyssouze with the neighboring municipality of Pont-de-Vaux .
