Cormoz is a French commune in the Ain department in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the canton of Saint-Étienne-du-Bois in the Bourg-en-Bresse arrondissement . It is bordered by Varennes-Saint-Sauveur to the north, Beaupont to the east, Pirajoux to the south-east, Foissiat to the south, Lescheroux to the south-west and Saint-Nizier-le-Bouchoux to the west . The inhabitants call themselves Cormoziens.
The 7th stage of the Tour de France 2010 led via Cormoz.
