geography
Dompierre-sur-Veyle is located about 15 kilometers south of the prefecture of Bourg-en-Bresse in the southern part of the historical province of Bresse . The Veyle River crosses the municipality. Neighboring municipalities of Dompierre-sur-Veyle are Lent in the north, La Tranclière in the northeast, Druillat in the east, La Tranclière in the south and Lent and Péronnas in the west.
Attractions
- The Château de Belvey or Château de Mas Belvey is a 12th century castle that was built for the Juys family. The castle complex was restored in the 19th century.
