Saint-Rémy is located about five kilometers west-southwest of Bourg-en-Bresse on the edge of the historic Bresse province to the Dombes on the Veyle . Neighboring municipalities of Saint-Rémy are Buellas in the north and northwest, Saint-Denis-lès-Bourg in the north and northeast, Péronnas in the east, Saint-André-sur-Vieux-Jonc in the south and Montracol in the west.
