geography
The small town is located on the eastern bank of the Saône opposite the city of Villefranche-sur-Saône , which is part of the Rhône department , about 25 kilometers north of Lyon . Jassans-Riottier's other neighboring municipalities are Beauregard , Frans , Sainte-Euphémie , Saint-Didier-de-Formans , Trévoux and Saint-Bernard .
