Cormoranche-sur-Saone is a French commune with 1,138 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ain in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Bourg-en-Bresse and the canton Vonnas (until 2015: canton Pont-de-Veyle ). The inhabitants are called cormoranchois .
geography
Cormoranche-sur-Saône is located in the Bresse countryside about seven kilometers south of Mâcon and about 30 kilometers west-northwest of Bourg-en-Bresse on the Saône . Cormoranche-sur-Saône is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Grièges in the north, Cruzilles-lès-Mépillat in the east and south-east, Bey and Garnerans in the south, Crêches-sur-Saône in the west and Varennes-lès-Mâcon in the north-west.
