Buellas is a commune with 1,782 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ain in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Administratively it belongs to the Arrondissement of Bourg-en-Bresse and is part of the canton of Attignat (until 2015: canton of Viriat ). The inhabitants are called Buella Asia .

geography

Buellas is about seven kilometers west of Bourg-en-Bresse . The river Veyle flows along the eastern edge of the municipality . Buellas is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Polliat in the north, Saint-Denis-lès-Bourg in the east and south-east, Saint-Rémy in the south and south-east, Montracol in the south and south-west and Montcet in the west.
