The canton of Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne is a French canton in the department of Ain in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It comprises 26 municipalities in the arrondissement of Bourg-en-Bresse , its bureau centralisateur is in Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne . As part of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, it was expanded in spring 2015.

Until the reorganization, the canton of Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne consisted of the 16 municipalities L'Abergement-Clémenciat , Biziat , Chanoz-Châtenay , Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne , Chaveyriat , Condeissiat , Dompierre-sur-Chalaronne , Mézériat , Neuville-les-Dames , Romans , Saint-André-le-Bouchoux , Saint-Georges-sur-Renon , Saint-Julien-sur-Veyle , Sandrans , Sulignat and Vonnas . Its layout corresponded to an area of 252.56 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 0110.
