The Canton Thoiry is a French canton in the department of Ain in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The canton existed for the first time from 1793 to 1801 and was re-established in March 2015 as part of the nationwide reorganization of the cantons. Today it comprises 16 parishes in the Arrondissement of Gex , and its central office is in Thoiry .

The historic canton of Thoiry existed from 1793 to 1801 and included seven municipalities, these were Challex, Crozet, Péron, Pouilly et Saint-Genix , Saint-Jean-de-Gonville and Sergy in addition to the main town Thoiry .
