The canton of Bourg-en-Bresse-1 is a French canton in the Arrondissement Bourg-en-Bresse , in the department of Ain and the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It includes the municipality of Viriat and the north-eastern part of the municipality of Bourg-en-Bresse , in which his bureau centralisateur is also located.
The canton was created as part of the nationwide reorganization of the cantons in 2015 and replaced a similar structure made up of several cantons ( Bourg-en-Bresse-Est , -Nord-Center and -Sud ) and the canton of Viriat . It includes the historic center of Bourg-en-Bresse.
