Friedrich Liss

Friedrich Simon Peter Otto Joachim Liss (born October 8, 1795 in Dargun ; † June 17, 1878 in Sülze ) was a German lawyer and mayor.

Friedrich Liss was born on October 8, 1795 as the son of the official registrar Johann Liss (* 1767) in Dargun in his first marriage. After graduating from high school at the Güstrow cathedral school in 1816 , Liss studied law in Rostock (1816) and Jena. In Jena , Liss became a member of the Jena Urburschenschaft on June 18, 1819 (register no. 808). After completing his studies, Liss worked as a lawyer in Rostock (1822), in Wahlow (1823) and Gnoien (1828). In 1831, Liss was an auditor at the Gnoien city court before he worked as a senator in the same city (or in Sülze). From 1841 to 1859 he was mayor of the city of Sülze and, from 1841, also city judge.
