The Buneva Point (English; Bulgarian нос Бунева nos Bunewa ) is a 1 km long headland on the northwest coast of Alexander I Island off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 11 km south of Cape Wostok , 8.8 km northwest of Kamhi Point and 1.75 km northeast of Stoltz Island . As a northern extension of a mountain ridge stretching over 3.7 km in a south-easterly direction, it protrudes immediately south of the mouth of the Lennon Glacier in a west-south-west direction into Lasarev Bay .
British scientists mapped it in 1991. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2017 after Mara Bunewa (1902–1928), a key figure in the Macedonian Inner Revolutionary Organization .
