The castle Baustetten is an Outbound Spur castle in Baustetten , a district of Laupheim , in the district of Biberach in Baden-Württemberg , Germany .

The castle is located at around 533 meters above sea level on a wide plateau next to the church of Baustetten. It is believed that an underground corridor led from the castle to the church in the past.
history
The castle was built by the Lords of Baustetten in the 11th century and mentioned in 1092. After 1250 the castle came from the Counts of Veringen by marriage to the Counts of Grüningen-Landau . The castle was destroyed around 1503. The former owner was the Weißenburg monastery in Bavaria . Nothing has been preserved from the former castle complex.
