The Burg Schnabel , also castle Schnabel called, is an Outbound hillside castle in the village Hilst in Pirmasens-Land in the district Südwestpfalz in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The castle complex of the former Fliehburg is located in a forest area at the exit of the village of Hilst in the direction of Schweixer Mühle 330 meters above sea level .
Remains of the ramparts can still be seen on the 120 by 45 meter area of the Wallburg .
