The castle Gippichen even Gypchen called, is a Outbound castle in the area of today's living space Ippichen the district Kinzigtal of Wolfach in Ortenaukreis ( Baden-Wuerttemberg ).
The castle of the Lords of Gippichen (1268 to 1488), ministerials of the Lords of Wolfach and later vassals of the Fürstenbergs , which can no longer be precisely located , was in 1391 half of the fiefdom of Fürstenberg and half of Geroldseck . The castle is believed to be on the site of the Abrahamshof and was already mentioned in 1493 (destroyed) as the castle stables .
