The castle Königsegg is the ruin of a castle in what is now the district Königsegg the community Guggenhausen in the district of Ravensburg in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle was built by the Lords of Königsegg , a branch of the Lords of Fronhofen , as their ancestral seat and was mentioned in 1251. The castle was part of the municipality of Hoßkirch until 1850 . The castle was rebuilt between the 16th and 17th centuries and its owners were no longer inhabited from the middle of the 17th century. Three buildings from the former castle complex are still preserved.
