Mettenberg Castle

The castle Mettenberg is an Outbound hilltop castle high above the valley of the Red at 630  m above sea level. NN on the northeast corner of the place Rot an der Rot in the municipality of the same name in the district of Biberach in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle, which was only reliably proven in the 15th century, was probably owned by the local nobility of the Lords of Mettenberg and the Rot an der Rot monastery, mentioned in 1299 . Nothing has been preserved from the former castle complex.
