The castle cormorants , even castle Landau called, is an Outbound Spur castle on a 657  m above sea level. NN hohne Bergsporn 3100 meters east of Winterstettenstadt in the district of Scharben in the municipality of Hochdorf in the Biberach district in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle, presumably built by the Lords of Essendorf in the 13th century, was mentioned in 1258, was later owned by the Counts of Grüningen-Landau and fell into disrepair after 1440. Nothing has been preserved from the former castle on a rectangular plateau with a moat on three sides.
