Burgasbus ( Bulgarian БургасБус ) is the largest transport company in the southeastern Bulgarian city ​​of Burgas and the province of Burgas .

It operates two trolleybuses - as well as most of the bus routes in the municipality of Burgas and the province - and is publicly owned . In addition, it maintains the regular bus service to several neighboring communities, as well as between their main towns and Burgas. Burgasbus regional buses also run regularly to Varna , Jambol , Russe and Elchowo . The current CEO is Petko Dragnew (July 2011).

Burgasbus was founded in 1991 as the successor to the Burgas public transport company, which existed from 1947 to 1991. The company operates 59 bus and two trolleybus routes. The company also operates the two bus stations in Burgas. The south bus station is located next to the main train station and the city's port. The West Bus Station is located at the Old Railway Station in the Wasrashdane district . Burgasbus has over 850 employees. Occasionally conductors are still used to sell tickets.

In 2005 twelve used buses were bought from the Netherlands . The city administration elected in 2007 promotes the operation of Burgasbus, since then Burgasbus has been able to expand its fleet. Currently (as of 2011) the company has around 200 buses and trolleybuses. In 2008, an additional 20 used buses, ten used trolley buses and ten new TEDOM buses were purchased. Since 2010, with the support of the European Jaspers program, regular urban transport has been expanded and the entire vehicle fleet has been renewed. The project for the integrated expansion of public transport is financed by EU support of 70 million euros.

In 2010 the company generated sales of around 20,350,000 leva , in 2009 it was around 20,542,000 leva.

Burgasbus operates the bus routes 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 12A, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 18A, 25, 30, 32, 61, 62, 101, 121 and 211 as well as the Trolleybus routes T1 and T2 ("T" stands for trolleybus; Bulgarian: тролейбус). The company thus serves all districts and suburbs of Burgas as well as almost every place in the Burgas Oblast.

Burgasbus uses the following bus types in the city network: MAN SG, MAN NG, MAN NL, Mercedes-Benz O 405 N, Mercedes-Benz 0 405G, Mercedes-Benz O 345 Conecto, NEOPLAN N4015, Setra SG219, TEDOM C12G, Solaris Urbino 18 , Solaris Urbino 12 . The Tschawdar 120 type has become the symbol of the streets of Burgas. The 20 buses of this type from Burgasbus are the only ones that have been manufactured.
