The company describes itself as the world market leader in the field of individual bathroom furniture solutions of high quality segments. history
The company founder Dieter Ruddies (1921–2015) came to the Sauerland after the Second World War. In 1946 he started manufacturing everyday objects. He later made wooden furniture and, in the 1960s, bathroom furniture. In 1990 the company acquired Kama Bad GmbH in Greding- Grafenberg. and a year later the French Société d'Equipement Postformé (SEP) .
The castle furniture Dieter Ruddies GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1995 in the burgbad converted Aktiengesellschaft and at the Düsseldorf Stock Exchange listed. The company founder moved to the supervisory board in 1996. 1997 Schock Bad GmbH and Hans Feierabend GmbH are taken over with the Junkers brand . One year later, the mineral casting manufacturer Miral-BKI Beton- und Kunststoffindindustrie Schlinsog GmbH & Co. KG is bought.
The company had been admitted to the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since the beginning of 2000 . In 2008, Burgbad AG was taken over by the Turkish industrial group Eczacıbaşı Holding . With the resolution of the general meeting of burgbad AG on May 11, 2010 and the entry in the company's commercial register in the same year, all shares of the minority shareholders were transferred to Eczacıbaşı Yapi Gerecleri in return for cash compensation.
Products
The company produces sideboards and cupboards, mirror and mirror cabinets, washbasins, bathtubs and shower trays, as well as toilets and bidets.
