architecture
The "Burg Freiheit", a direct connection to Rheydt and Cologne , is an early medieval route east of the historic town center, which owes its name to a small settlement that was located directly next to the castle (first attested in 1153) .
The three-window house, built before the turn of the century, has three floors with a gently sloping half-hipped roof . A far protruding console cornice completes the facade . In the middle of the roof there is a wide dormer .
