Burkard pitcher
Burkard Martin Gustav Krug (born June 28, 1930 in Helsinki , † April 15, 2006 in Bad Hersfeld ) was a Protestant pastor and theologian.
Burkard Krug studied theology in Marburg, Heidelberg and Helsinki. After his theological doctorate (Marburg 1956) and ordination, he first worked as a vicar in Fritzlar. From 1956 to 1965 he was pastor in Helsa near Kassel. On November 1, 1965, he moved to the town church in Bad Hersfeld as pastor . He retired on June 30, 1992.
He was a professor of church history at the Free Theological Academies in Basel, Seeheim and Breckum. Johannes Rau awarded him the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon in 2002 . He was honorary chairman of the Christian Publicists Working Group.
